I've said many times that the testing is COMPARITIVE. You are not reading/comprehending what I'm saying

Yes, and you give it a minor foot note and then expound upon it as though it has intense and fundamental merit. That is, you've never ever said that PSID is negligible and always seem to insist, even in the light of your alleged qualifications, to deliver rhetoric that is totally in the other direction.

You keep using niche and obscure content and want it to be applied broadly where it's not pertinent.

The average Joe asking about bypass activity isn't a racer. They don't own a high volume or high rpm capable engine. They don't dwell @ 100mph+ or hang near any red line. Yet you offer the same obscure advice to them ..you always follow my tail and seem to think that this should mean something to the average stroke. You don't say "Oh, by the way, if you're out in never never land of racers ..or imagine yourself as one, there may be a few things I can bring to you.

Yes, Unicorns.

Go tell Subaru owner's (or Autobahn iron) that it's OK to run an 8 psi bypass filter in their 12 gpm flowing engine. Go tell this guy his filter's PSID is negligible ... it happens more than you think. Funny how this popped up when we are discussing this stuff.

You just can't think outside the box, and are locked in to this "Average Joe" vehicle mentality. Dude, broaden your knowledge and understanding ... it might come in handy someday.

I've always qualified my discussions (regardless if you pick that up or not) by saying this is NOT everyday Grandma Econoline Van scenarios we are talking about. For some reason you just can't accept the fact that I'm right about this stuff, and try to brush it off as non-important because you'll never see it happen on your vehicles.

No, but you aren't qualifying it by explicitly stating that they are Unicorn vehicle (and mostly not stock-engined vehicle) specific statements either.

That is, that while Gary is being condemned for not prefacing his statements with a disclaimer that they only apply to the majority of the motoring public and not modified or high-spun engines, you are really doing the same thing, but with the opposite end of the argument.

Just my viewpoint.

Exactly ... my views are obviously more immense in these discussions than his canned "average vehicle" spew. Going outside his narrow viewpoint and knowledge bank kind of throws him for a loop.

He doesn't realize there are quite a few unicorn vehicles running around on the roads blowing the doors off his Econoline.

SuperBusa, please stop. You are not smarter than him. You are not more right, either. No one even cares any more.

Did I claim I was smarter than him? But I have to say that he's made some wrong statements along the way - and I'll zero in on them if I see fit.

If you don't care anymore, then stop reading this thread!

... at least maybe some of discussions help out some to see what's going on within an oiling system.
