I've tried just about every type of coffee under the sun, and I gotta say: I absolutely LOVE!!! McDonald's Premium Roast Coffee. I get a cup of the stuff 2-3 times a week on my way to work. I would love to brew the stuff at home, but obviously, McD's isn't going to sell me the bagged coffee (beans or ground).

Does anybody have any idea what kind of blend McD's is using as their "Premium Roast"? It is unlike anything else I've tried.

I've had their organic coffee once in the Hartford airport and I think it was Newman's Own brand. The Business Week article says it is Green Mountain and some other sources say it's a Green Mountain coffee branded as Newman's Own.

Based on that article, the 'premium coffee' is a proprietary blend so unless McD-s starts selling them at their stores, you probably are out of luck.

Now, however, McDonald's won't provide any details on whether the premium roast will be the Arabica blend or something completely new. In an e-mail, spokeswoman Danya Proud revealed only that the coffee will be an "exclusive, proprietary blend." She wouldn't give details on how much it would cost, except to say that its price will vary at different locations. Promotional photos show the coffee in both a typical disposable cup and what looks like a round china cup.

wow.

I've always wondered how people drink that sewage. I never liked mcd "coffee" before, and the 'new' stuff tastes just as bad to me.
here in PA we have wawa stores, and they have a few different blends. they just introduced a 100% Columbia, and they have a Kona blend, and a few others. they are all very good. AND, you CAN buy bags of it. at home, I brew Community Coffee. I have to buy it direct from the company in Louisiana because it's not sold up here.

That was rude and uncalled for.

Yes, they have coffee, and I LOVE it. Some folks apparently don't have a taste for it. It's got a unique flavor. I can see how some folks would not like it. Different strokes for different folks.

sorry if that was offensive to you, I apologize. I thought I was just insulting a product, I didn't think that was politically incorrect.
