No company will acknowledge a quality defect unless they have to. It would lead to some variant of TSB or recall which is nothing but cost.
At best they say thats one in six sigma send in for warranty replacement blah blah. If you get anything different I will be shocked.
I gave up on Fram long before the light beam issues because they seemingly couldn't properly cut a thread, and took a lot of grief back then for saying it. Happy I did.

I recently got new hearing aids. I'm can't say whether or not people have been telling me that for a long time. Just saying.
Got it last week from Walmart.
I only picked up 2 because I have no use for them but they were just over $4 each. Regular shelf item with box.
No sloppy glue or oil. Very clean.
The adbv has a perfection fit and nothing sharp anywhere. The bypass valve is just like the others we have been seeing..a sloppy fit and the pictures tell the rest.

That is an awesome picture I don’t care who you are. I’m at loss if someone would think assembly pressure would stymie a leak path.
Yeah, steel-on-steel doesn't give unless the force was enough to actually bend/deform the metal, lol. Ask them if they think it's made of rubber or something that would give enough to seal a ruffled surface like that with just the force induced from the leaf spring being compressed slightly. Been shown many times here that some force doesn't do anything to close the gap. Could probably flatten out those ruffles with a hammer and an anvil.

^^^ All the companies who have their filters made by Champ Labs should be hammering on them about the leaf spring stamping quality issue. Leaf springs have been stamped flat and smooth for decades until recently. The question to them should be why is it happening? It shouldn't be happening.
