Valvoline has a 0W20 blend that's technically a Full Synthetic at lower cost. But I'd stick with PP.

I plan to use the TGMO 0w-20 until it proves unworthy. So far, so good with the 4runner, but it shears quite a bit. But that was my only complaint about Schaeffers in my 2000 Tundra. I'm about to swap the break-in oil in my Tundra for some TGMO at 5k. I'll let you know how that goes.

Ya'll all know the efficiency difference between 0w-20 and 5w30? 1.5% That is per Honda R&D.

Toyota does not "require" 0w-20. In fact other options are there for "high loads" (towing) or high speed driving...per the manual.

5w30...run it with confidence should you feel the need. Its all I run in my Honda's and Toyota Sequoia that see any towing duty in the Summer.
