It really does not matter since you will be changing the Oil Filter at 4000 miles when you change your oil. The stuff works slowly so you will not load up the Oil Filter. We have not seen an oil filter on this board get so loaded up from using VRP. There was a Video that the guys from Valvoline said that this oil would not load up the Oil Filter.I am going to use Valvoline R and P on next oil changes. Wondering what oil filters to use? One is a 2004 Buick Park Ave non supercharged with a 3.8 motor. Other is a 1999 Nissan Altima with a 2.4

I don't agree. I was quite close to loading up a filter past its capacity after 6 months of VRP.It really does not matter since you will be changing the Oil Filter at 4000 miles when you change your oil. Whew! Cue up the Molly Hatchet, 'cause we are "flirtin' with disaster!"
I knew that my decision to leave a SuperTech filter in the car for the longer interval was risky, but I had NO IDEA how much crud was still waiting to be dislodged by the Valvoline. Much longer and this filter would probably have just been in bypass mode full time. The R&P seems to be REALLY rolling now, and breaking up a ton of junk from this tired old motor.
Anyway, enough bloviating, here are the pics.

And what effects are that? How does a filter have “synergy” with oil, exactly?Use PRO-TEC filters for their synergistic effects with this oil.
VRP is intended not to overwhelm the filter by cleaning too fast, but if the engine is very, very dirty, it can definitely load up the filter before your normal oil change. That has been my experience and that of several others as well.I am going to use Valvoline R and P on next oil changes. Wondering what oil filters to use?
