How well do z rated pads work? I have brand new bosch ceramics and i cant stop all that well. How do z rated pads compare? I was upgrading rotors and calipers as well.

High rated pads are made to take more heat so they don't fade. But that also means they need more heat before they grab as hard.

Sounds liek you want some cheap pads that grab under little pressure, so I would not get Z-rated or any other high performance pads.

I've heard very good reviews of Bendix TitaniuMetallic pads over on the Camaro forum. They are considered one of the better pads for performance street driving. I would NOT run a race pad on a street car. I also hear good reviews of Raybestos Brute Stop rotors, again, for a street performance application. Both those items are reasonably priced and offer good street performance.

"Z-Rated® is our severe duty and high-performance pad. If you tow heavy loads, or need the most aggressive stopping power on the market - Z-Rated® was made for you."

"Z-Rated" is just a trademarked name for one of Performance Friction's line of brake pads. It has no industry standard meaning. I like Performance Friction products. They're also available at AutoZone.
