What does a chirpy rear diff sound like?

Has anyone ever experienced a squeaky/chirpy noise when going over uneven backroads or bumps? Sounds like I'm pulling an empty trailer down a gravel/dirt road, if you can imagine that sound.

My 2025 Ram has this squeak/chirp, and it's super noticeable at 10-40mph, I would say. I originally thought it was the rear diff - I checked it and topped it up from where it was a half quart low. That seemed to quiet it up for about a day or two (could have been a placebo of me wanting that to be the fix). But the noise is back, but fainter. Music on volume 10 typically cures it... Could this still be the diff?

Anyway, before I take it to the dealer and have them diagnose it, I wanted to ask if anyone may have an idea of what it could be - Obviously, this is a hard ask without any sound clip/video.

EDIT: Noise is still constant on smooth paved neighborhood roads. only more pronounced during the rough(er) terrain.

Do you notice the noise on even smooth roads or just rough roads? Could be exhaust shield, cab or bed bushing, fuel or brake line rubbing, wiring harness rubbing, and not out of the question to have a noisy universal joint. I’d make the dealership note on the repair order that the differential was also low in gear oil.

Its on smooth road as well.. I will edit the post to say this.

Bushing going out? I've heard them get noisy the more worn they get. Sounds more like an annoyance vs. something damaged.

It’s difficult to say based on your description. I would take this new vehicle to dealer and let them work out the warranty fixes. If you were past warranty, and only if, might try a flush and fill plus Duralube Severe Instant Quiet.

Chirpy is a firm 1-2 shift with some Lbs/Ft to match

Are you sure its the Diff. On a rough road or in turns I would say maybe you need Friction modifier but on smooth roads I would be checking the brake shields to be sure they were not rubbing.

That's rich. The 24 year old ford f350 I drive at work is doing that. It's only on one side and it's probably the seal.
It's like everything stalantus makes is crap now.

Would it be worth trying to soak/spray the rear end and leaf springs with water and test drive? It might prove if it's a external noise? Water acts like a short term lubricant

Thanks all, I will get under the rear this weekend and start knocking everything around to feel any play. Again, I am not sure of anything, as I have no idea where to start to even begin diagnosing it by myself.

Dealer visit will most likely be the solution lol.

For chirp sounds, I would expect driveshaft or axle U-joints first (if it has U-joints and not CV joints at least).
