What do you think about fram fuel filters?
I get a good deal on them at the shop but not sure about the quality..
i like their air filters but unsure of the fuel filters. Let me know what everyone thinks..

Fram air and fuel filters are fine, as are the Ultra oil filters. The orange cans are not death in a can, either. They are simply too expensive for what you get.

Fram isn't a [censored] company, they just overprice their bottom-of-the-barrel oil filter.

years ago fram a very good race fuel filter in a metal houseing. they might still make it. oh did i say its very good filter.
HPG-1 $50.xx from summit. its not stock, but very good and i think the stock filters are good all so.

ive used them with no issues on f150's i used to buy them at walmart. the only slight complaint i had was one started to rust on the outside after a couple years. but it wasnt and issue as i changed them every 25k miles or so.

i would use one again with no problem. a lot of times you can buy a wix or OEM fuel filter for the same price, however.

Crazy,
I am the tech manager at FRAM. Before we release a fuel filter part number, we benchmark the OE filter for flow, efficiency and capacity as well as other engineering benchmarks like conductivity of the housing (some cars require non conductive filters). Once we know all that, we build our filter to meet or exceed these requirements.

I had two FRAM fuel filters, on two different cars, that rusted badly, one to the point of leaking, both with less than a year and a half in service. During the same period a Motorcraft fuel filter on a third car looked almost new. Guess which brand I don't use anymore?

To be fair, I still believe FRAM air filters are good.
