The 4 yr old original group 48 battery died in our 2021 Pilot in the Home Depot parking lot. Multiple warning lights with starter relay clicking which eventually stopped and then went into MIL lights illuminating, flashing, and at some points the cluster looked like the engine was on except with MILs indicating no power.
Had a 2008 Buick try to jump it at 1st with it revving at 2500 RPM to charge the battery and then start it, no luck.
Drove to the nearest parts store, O'Reilly, and picked up a Super Start Platinum AGM, after core it was $244. WalMart did not have ony group 48's.
What do you guys think about the Super Start brand? This is the 48 month warranty TOTL version and looks nearly identical to the Honda OEM except for the rounded cell caps, and possible some type of vent missing on the left side as compared to the OE.
I picked up a battery load tester to make sure the battery was indeed bad and I wasn't having any other electrical issues, starter test result was bad:
Oddly, after installing the new battery, the vehicle still wouldn't start. I closed the hood, waited a minute, and then it fired up.
