What do these do?

My first encounter with these, although I've been noticing them on more and more newer cars

It's like a reverse splash guard, but it's on the front of the rear wheel?

While I doubt it's mission critical, one is missing on this Milan, so for $16 I will replace it

Aerodynamics?

NVH?

Keeps it clean?

Yep. Hard to imagine MPG gain could even be measured on a street car. Our new Sierra HD truck even has them.

Do you think the flap on the Saab was for aero or to deflect rocks from the front tires?

Very distinctive tread design . Many major car dealers use RT43s' for used vehicles in need of new tires . Reasonable price helps . Are they T or H rated ?

A bit stiff IMO, but reasonably quiet and they seem decent in the rain

My father looked at them and thought we'll keep them for the winter or so

Problem is 2/4 of them are from '14

What a waste...

Also, all 4 steel wheels have at least one bend, so I'm planning to track down base 16" alloys and choose a new tire from there
