Hey everyone, My daughter`s 02 Hyundai Elantra headlights have me stumped. She had one burn out,so the last time she was home from college, I put in a new set of Sylvania bulbs. Now,the light`s are shining up in the air like their in the wrong way or something? When we first got the car, the light`s were weird like that, so we went to the Hyundai dealer, and they said some one put then in up side down? I could only get them in one way? do I need to turn them some how or something?
What did I do wrong??

I'd have to say that it sure sounds like you have them in the wrong way. If you don't want to pay a mechanic to do it, I'll bet someone at AZ can show you how to do it.
I just checked the internet and i think I see what I did wrong. The tab is supposed to face up,not down. I`m going to try that and see what happens. Yeah I really dont want to pay for something like this that I can do.

OH YEAH!! Learned that one a long time ago.
I have to wait until Friday when she comes in. I`ll try switching it around,then we`ll go for a ride and hopefully that is the problem.

That's a known issue with that generation Elantra. Fix it and you're golden.

Lately, I have been able to find lots of info on youtube. Here's one for the Elantra, but the model year is not given.
