I bought a used Dakota a few months back. Last night I checked the coolant strength and it looked pink. In fact it looked as pink as the G12 coolant in my VW Passat. My understanding is that Dodge was/is using a HOAT that should be orange? Any HOATs that are pink? It was serviced exclusively at a Dodge dealer so I am unsure of what I have in there. Perhaps the Mopar stuff is a pinkish orange?

My Dokota came with Yellow coolant.
The OE coolant in my 02 jeep was Pink GO5
My 2001 Jeep Wrangler had the Mopar orange coolant when the rad split it's seam at 60,000k..right on time
....changed over to the Prestone "All-Makes long-life" yellow pre-mixed stuff after my rad change and it's been great all winter...cold this winter also.The fluid looks great now and I also dropped my stock 18 lb. rad cap to a 16lb. one on the advice of a few people on the Jeep forum...too much un-needed pressure splitting rads...everything is good to go and I love stuff pre-mixed
I drained my OE GO-5 @ 30K because it was beginning to look a little icky.
Replaced it with new GO-5 and distilled water.
