What coolant funnel?

Hi,
Do I need this funnel, if I want to flush the coolant on Toyota 2AR-FE engine?
This engine doesn't have a rad. cap and the expanding tank is the highest point of the cooling system.

Honestly I searched thinking this thread would already exist but couldn't fine it.

I have never owned a coolant funnel but it seems I will need on for my 2019 Rav4 - A25A dynamic force engine.

Is the Lisle funnel the way to go? Or is there something better. I likely won't use it often - I need no such funnel for my Nissan's although who knows what I will buy next. https://www.lislecorp.com/specialty-tools/spill-free-funnel-606

Nobody "needs" this funnel! I was doing it the old fashioned way with an open funnel for many years with no problems. It just took a little while and required multiple burps/purges. The special funnel just makes it easier and faster.

What model Toyota do you have? Is that the 2014 Scion tC in your signature? The 2AR-FE in the 2015 Camry certainly has a radiator cap w/a conventional overflow/expansion tank.

Your tC appears to have a pressurized sealed system with an unvented cap on the expansion tank reservoir. As such, you don't need the Lisle funnel to purge air from the cooling system. Just run the engine with the black cap removed and the reservoir will act like the funnel.
