What cell phone and service plan do you have?

Mori, since you're looking at Locus...
we have Locus GSM and CDMA. Service is great, it uses ATT network for GSM and Verizon for CDMA network.

The biggest gotcha is that if you are one day late buying extra minutes, you lose your rollover time. A couple days later and you might lose your number and have to get a new one. Not a problem if you keep track of things. I try to add time a day before the 30 days is up to be safe.

The CDMA works better off the beaten path, but you are more likely to get roaming charges because you are in some non-Verizon CDMA zone. The GSM doesn't work as well in the boonies (look at the coverage maps, they are reasonably correct), but doen't seem to have as many places where you get roaming charges. Roaming charges are rarely a problem anyplace in the US in populated areas or on major highways that the ATT for GSM or Verizon for CDMA networks cover.

I'm happy with Locus but haven't done a head to head comparison with other services for a couple of years so I can't say that I know it's the best.
