What bugs you that you read here on BITOG

So I thought I would start this thread about things you notice/read/hear on BITOG that really bugs you.

Let's keep the discussion civil so the thread doesn't get locked.

But lets hear what makes your blood boil.

My issues are... The waste you hear about on the board, too frequent of oil changes, having to use syn because the persons application is unique in their eyes and in their eyes "requires" it.

Throwing away a car simply because it is "old" and not squeezing every last drop of mileage out of it and banking the difference.

Not fixing things like engines/transmissions to prolong the life of the vehicle.

The whole "A higher base-stock equates to better wear protection"

Not knowing about rustproofing!!!!!!!

The stupid group III discussions mainly. If one feels that their application requires syn, no big deal... Changing syn early is stupid in many/most applications, but to each their own...

The small number of people on here that feel they are saving the planet by purchasing 'green' cars....and then proceed to label those that drive large SUV's or pickups as somehow 'irresponsible'.
On the other side of the coin, a rather boistrous group on here that excludes anything other than a full-size V-8 pickup as a 'toy' or that it's not a 'real' pickup (especially those that slam the Ridgeline or Toyota trucks yet have never owned one).
Lastly....the blind, brand-loyalists that find it inconceivable to ever switch brands or that the favorite oil they use (Mobil, Amsoil, Pennzoil Platinum etc.) could ever possibly have an equal or (God forbid) that a better oil exists.

I drive an SUV for work because I need to haul all kinds of stuff around from restaurant to restaurant and it also functions as my office so I could care less that people think I'm a "polluter" etc. IMO I need a SUV!

I'm pretty cool with most anything. I do find the bashing is a little strange, but everyone to his own thing. I personally don't critize other products as they are all good these days. In that light I do feel some here think I'm wrong to stick with one oil. That's OK but my results have been good.

All in all I enjoy BITOG and get much from it.

When people go personal attack mode in oil threads. Wow.

I find it really funny when people attack me for my post count and the fact that I'm an Amsoil dealer.

StevieC, you and I seem to be pretty much onthe same page. However I did learn alot about rustproofing here, here in the States rustproofing seems to way down on the list of maintence things to do.

BTW, just got my car Rust Checked yesterday and going back in about 4 to 6 weeks for the Protect & Cover stuff.

I think what bugs me the most is this guy StevieC who has over 8000 posts, he just keeps posting, get another hobby.

Seriously, what bugs me is when someone starts a post in the oil additive section asking about using MMO, someone jumps in and says use auto-rx, and vice versa when someone posts about using auto-rx and people jump in and say too use another product.

I find it outrageous when people bash a product they never use, I get PM's from guys who ask about:

1) Seafoam
2) Cermax
3) Berryman's B-12

I just tell them that I never have used these products so I cannot comment, I may have opinions about those products, but they are not facts since I have not used any of them.

I also cannot stand when I ask StevieC a question and he does not have an answer, of course Gary Allan always has an answer too any of my questions.

People who can't spell. When theirs a spell check built in to every thing that they type here on BITOG. Use it! "Mobile 1" And yes i am guilty of not proof reading my own posts. Man up people!
