What are your winter oil plans?

Walmart around here has never been close. The lowest I've seen has been $8.96 IIRC. I will have to check!

For me, having a winter oil plan might sound strange, since The Swamp barely knows what winter is (though we do get some below-freezing temps now and then). But I grabbed the PepBoys $13.00 Mobil Clean 5000 plus ProLine filter deal this weekend. Plan is to change out in early November, when the current Castrol Edge will have some 7K on it, and run the 5000 for 5 months/5K miles.

MC's 5W-30 is a bit thicker at 100 C. than the Edge, but not as thick as some HM oils, so I'm hoping I'll see a little less consumption but not any worse gas mileage. In April, I may stay with the MC5K.
