What are you working on today?

Rear brakes on base model 19’ Hyundai Elantra. 60k on vehicle

Had to use Centric rotors and pads. Over $200 for all. Fairly easy job even when pads were metal on metal.

More drain tile wok. Other end of the property and about 80 ft tottal. I've been wanting to do this for years. The last 3.5" rain we had convinced me. Right on the property line. A lot of water comes down the line from the neighbors front yard and when big rains hit the road too.

1979 Ford F-350
460 V8
Replaced radiator, radiator hoses, flushed block and heater core, changed oil

1999 Ford Econoline E350 motorhome
Drained and pulled fuel tank, pulled fuel pump to match it with a new one. I'll have one tomorrow.

A lot done tonight also. Finally put the gutter up on the back porch. Put the gable vent back on and put some screws in it, wind kept blowing it off.

Put some NGK V Power plugs in the Dakota. Originally put a hotter plug in based on recommendations it would run better.. bologna!!!! Runs like a new truck now!

The stock airbox for the scooter showed up so put it in. Wasn't easy. Little slower but runs right and no bogging.

At the risk of insulting your intelligence, if it's an entire "module" with sending unit, be sure you verify ohms before installing the new unit ;)

Airtex CS has actually been helpful over the phone for me before to verify which part # I needed

Exchanging 2 more quarts ATF. Was thinking of asking if I should start with Mercon LV, or stick with V. Thought the AX4N didn't like anything that wasn't 100% Mercon V...

Going to take a test drive, check level, go in the AC because "Summer is back and it is upset."

Put this on the Subaru because now I can say I actually did that. For the outside corner, with some rough paint and slight surface rust. Can't realistically go too much deeper.

Changed 2 quarts of the oil a few days ago as well as one gallon of coolant. G-05 50/50.

About to take that spin and check level.

The matching up is due to seven different offerings available for this particular model. We're definitely going to ensure the replacement works before shoving that beast of a tank back in. Ordinarily I'd say no to motorhomes, but this is a friend of mine who's helped me out a lot so I'll grunt and grumble my way through it. 😉

Fuel pump for the motorhome was zeroed out at the hub, didn't get one until nearly 4:30. Needless to say we'll get it in tomorrow. In place of working on it I burned more brush instead.

Swamped at work today. I’m tired. Relaxing with food and a baseball game now. It’s been an interesting week lol. Tuesday we had to have a customer escorted off the property by the police. Then the rest of the week has just dragged on. Hopefully tomorrow won’t. Today we sent one express tech off to go fix a car he screwed up, left the drain plug loose and got all over the bottom of the engine when it came out. He took a new drain plug, gasket and 9 quarts of oil out to their house. It’s a Tundra that takes 8.5 quarts. Almost 100 mile drive each way. He called me to ask for directions cause my family is from over that way where it was at so I was able to guide him. His phone was almost dead so he didn’t want to use the maps app.

I have parts coming in tomorrow I’m rebuilding an entire suspension on an old Camry tomorrow. Ball joints, tie rod ends, as well as inner tie rods, sway bar end links, control arms as well as brakes and a new CV boot on one axle. And an alignment afterwards. Customer didn’t want factory parts so my parts guy got them from his favorite parts source called Auto Zone. Hopefully none of them fail or are bad out of the box. Aftermarket suspension parts I’ve found too many times to be bad or fail shortly especially since they are the base line parts from the store. The parts will be there at 7:30am tomorrow as we placed the order after 5 today. At least we have air conditioning it’s been super hot the last few days so it’s nice.

Put the chainsaw and my truck to work today.

Couple fallen big limbs on a co-workers property. Got to go back at some point and take down their neighbors dead and rotten cherry tree. I figured being out in the country he would have a chainsaw, but he's in his 70's and not up for something like that anymore.

Do you have fireplace or wood burner? It will burn good in fire pit also 🍻👍
