What are you working on today?

I love those adapters man.
Honestly they're a PITA alone to get them to line up. It was a lot nicer with the ex yesterday, having a second person.

Many of the ones for floor jacks are magnetic and I see why -- stick it on the pinch weld then jack. But complaints of forgetting them on the vehicle after the job.

That said, they work really well once positioned and if it means not causing costly damage, it's worth the effort.

I am changing the plug in on a ctek battery trickle charger. It came with the battery cable spring clamps and I am going to change it to a cigarette lighter plug in. I don't like shutting the hood on those cables and wondering if they will fall off. The cigarette lighter plug just works better for my vehicles.

That's a major color shift between the two dipstick photos.
If you're talking about the 2 that are in that post it's because I shifted the dipstick angle.

If you're talking about from today with the 2 pictures versus yesterday it's because I exchange roughly 2 qt of oil so it perhaps lightened up some.

Going to work on dads truck lights here soon. Then have to come back supposed to do an oil change and brake pads on moms car. We will see if that happens probably not. Then bother in law and sister coming over around 4 or so to get their oil changed and both air filters replaced. Yesterday it was so hot we couldn’t do anything outside. Trying to get dad up so we can go to his truck before it gets too hot again. I hate working on those lights. He just needs to replace them instead of Jerry rigging them every time to pass inspection.

Got most of this buried. About 6 ft left under the bush.

Got a lot done! Got the toe kick in but there's a couple inch gap on top, have to figure that with a couple days thinking. Went outside and refilled both jacks with oil. Not sure on that HF jack just got it last year. Since the jack was working swapped the front and back tire in the Festiva, trying to find the bad tire. Debating on changing the plastic hub rings for aluminum ones. Lastly started pulling th plastic off the cabinets, that's a whole lot of horribleness.

Replaced spark plugs, coils, air filter, serpentine belt, thermostat and radiator hoses. Also changed oil. Took my time because it's been too dang hot to hustle.

Front wheel bearings on a '97 Outback.

Here's a tip: don't be a moron like me. The left side pressed out a little hard and I bent one caliper mounting ear, causing the caliper bracket to hit the rotor upon reassembly.

The moral is take your time to get a good setup in your press and don't use the arms or fingers that come off the knuckle. Find a way to load the knuckle concentric around the bore of the bearing, probably with large pipe of the appropriate diameter.

I was able to bend the offending ear back into place with a 24" all-sixteenths and 4' cheater. I'm sure caliper alignment ain't perfect but it's all I can do. Worst case the pads wear slightly unevenly.

Not a dang thing

UPDATE: Called HP instant ink to see why their great computer, could not determine that my printer was out of ink. Let the CSR go through the pre written script and mandatory description of the problem, so he gets paid. He took care of me and new ink is on the way. Last one lasted 5+ years. A small victory on Taco Tuesday.

It is Tuesday, Right?

Looks great 😃😃👍

I like letter “H”
H is straight Hemp oil. It looks just like straight tung oil in person

Not sure hemp oil would do great in the elements

I like the idea and stated protection of the Outdoor Defense Oil

EDIT: Ima talk with Milk Paint to see what my blending options are. A little dark like Pure Tung (not too dark) but best weather protection like ODO

BTW This stuff is expensive!
