What are you working on today?

Replacing a ceiling fan LED bulb that has this 4 inch circle bulb. They are cheap but not easily replaceable, a crows foot wrench took care of things.

The family van (Sienna) oil filtering housing has been weeping. I wanted the OEM toyota metal one, but an Amazon knockoff came in faster, looks extremely well built and sturdy. I RTV'd the drain which I will never use.

Put new brake assys on a Carex walker (er these are "Rollators" yo!) for my dad.

Pretty impressed with Carex as a company because you can order parts. With a discount code I found it was $43 for everything delivered.

They even sent a follow up email asking if everything was ok with my order. At first I only received one brake, and they immediately replied saying it was shipped as two packages and provided tracking, which arrived the very next day.

Sadly, there's VERY few companies that 1) sell parts and 2) have actual customer service humans who appear to be US-based (no Chingrish)

I replaced the front motor mount on my 92 Cavalier. I had replaced it about two or three years ago and it had already totally collapsed and the rubber had separated. It was an Anchor brand. When I took the bolts out that went through the rubber part, the inside of it totally came out.
I replaced it with a Duralast from Autozone. The brand on the mount itself was Westar and it was way better made than the Anchor one and actually fit. We will see how long it lasts.

Nothing of consequence today. Lowered the back yard basketball goal at my son's request so he could dunk on it, which required overcoming a rusted round head bolt and hex nut with vise grips and a generous supply of elbow grease and determination.

Yesterday I cleaned my Springfield sa35 pistol and relubed it. I haven't been doing a lot of shooting lately, but I never cleaned it after the last session. Nothing too vigorous, just a light scrub with some soapy water, hose it all out with brake cleaner, then relube with super lube grease and oil with a light coat of break free clp on the exterior. I rarely clean my Beretta 92 anymore. It seems to be happy with an occasional barrel swab and some grease top up.

Cue Taken "Good luck"

I hung a 43" TCL TV for my dad who's basically bedridden. First time I've used a commercial wall mount and it was slick. Last time I built my own wall mount which worked out well but took a fair bit of time.

Then spent forever getting him signed into his wifi and various accounts, and pairing his BT hearing aid to the Audio Out. At least it works now
