I love this guy!

I can see how this can be informative for the general public who are pretty much clueless about their health with the number 1 killer in the USA. Heart Disease.
However a simple web search shows these three respected authorities which I put much more credibility than a you tuber *LOL*
IF you ALREADY have these conditions salt reductions can and DO lower blood pressure but always consult your doctor.
.... ( I eliminated my accused rambling) ... I would suggest consulting your doctor and confirming whatever you see on you tube with trusted sources.

I get the first two publications below in the mail, on a monthly and bi monthly basis. If you have heart disease or heart disease in your family you should subscribe, being informed means you can have a better conversation with your doctor.
I kind of like the Cleveland Clinic but Harvard health has some good stuff too. With knowledge and today's technology you CAN change being dealt a bad hand into something manageable and even fun doing it.

I dont subscribe to the below but sometimes use it as a reference

As one who took BP meds for decades and decide to loose 100 lbs I found out salt has nothing to do with high BP.

But it does cause water retention so for long car trips I always take along a salty snack.

BTW - Im just as credible as that guy.
So basically you wrote all that to try and discredit the guy, and didn't actually succeed.

I think you missed the point. Well at least I read your ramblings and it didn't appear you actually touched on it.

Yeah and I watched his ramblings and said it seems like he got some of his material from the sources I provided. Maybe you missed my point?
I think it's dangerous for people to listen to uneducated you tubers without confirming what they are watching. If they do that it is a different story. By confirming would be reading materials from respected authorities and talking to your doctor.

Ironically I'm pretty sure you are just trying to be some kind of expert yourself.

He cites studies and experts. He goes through it, yes in a pop way. He never says ignore anything, or ignore your doctor. You imply that he does. He's not really promoting anything other than doing the science right. Which I can absolutely tell you our food industries and most doctors are not.

Where is he wrong? You have not stated that clearly.

Yeah, ok. I removed my rambling as you say and updated my post. I did not alter ANY of the remaining sentances.
Your feelings of what I imply are inaccurate. I suggest going to sources of information and confirm what you see on you tube.
I never said he was wrong and why I am ending this now. Before I just deleted my ramblings I clearly stated that most of the information he speaks of is supplied in the links I provided.
I think it's dangerous if people watch you tubers making a show about medical issues with no medical background and why the remaining sentences simply state to read trusted sources with respected medical knowledge.

The very FIRST sentence of my post says "I can see how this can be informative for the general public who are pretty much clueless about their health with the number 1 killer in the USA. Heart Disease."

Exactly, it causes water retention which makes it harder on your heart moving fluids through your body. Result is increased blood pressure. It is why people with weak hearts take https://www.webmd.com/hypertension-high-blood-pressure/diuretic-treatment-high-blood-pressure

Doctors know about this stuff.

I like the nolabcoat guy because at least he THINKS. I assume he is in his 20's or younger. He seems to stand out from the typical don't challenge the system generation. That is truly one reason I posted the video. But I watch a spectrum of health videos, and yes most are indeed MDs. Ekberg, Berg, Berry, etc. Some old guys too!

Sure absolutely, I never take any single source, be it youtube idiot or MD as hard actionable data/information. But I do know MANY things as far as nutrition and health absolutely need to be challenged. There is just so much that is pushed that is wrong. Personally had I believed my MD's at the time, I might actually be in really poor health. One size fits all pill poppers. Or I might not still be alive.

I strongly believe in root cause, and root cause elimination or amelioration. I also believe no one can do any health journey (wellness) alone just as much as no one should depend on or expect a single source to do this for them.

That said the MAIN reason for posting is my usual reason: Don't eat processed food!!!

Yes one of the high BP pills the gave me was a water pill. I'm currently on a high fat, high fiber, low carb diet and for the most part that makes most of the water I consume. Really don't drink a lot unless I am working and sweating and seldom drink with a meal.

But now that I have lost weight the extra water retention is put to good use.

Since I couldn’t get any recommendations or advice on splitting wedge in “how do you split your firewood” had to go on YouTube.

I'll watch Mr Carleson's lab on occasion, pretty interesting but not a big tube guy. Watch a guy who repairs old CRT TV's, not sure why but I find the debug process interesting. Curious Marc is big on the Apollo mission and that old tech... fascinating.

I watch The Money Guy from time to time, bit better than Dave Ramsey I think. :)

Just watched this, I do not want to know how one gets ahold of a part like this:

Interesting to see that tech! I'm working on my first rigid-flex PCB, but nothing like this...
