I expect a better trim than that from my beef. I am not a beef snob as I get my meat from Dillons (Kroger USDA choice). On the other hand, if I had a dog, the dog would appreciate the fat.

Last year I got $5.99 ribeye trimmed while I was in Texas at Kroger. Assume it was Tex beef. Today wife got $10.99 ribeye from Dillons on sale, Kansas beef. Sam & Costco running $15 per lb USDA choice today.

That would be $30 here in Van. I have to get you guys some beef price pics it's RIDICULOUS here.
There was some pedestrian, thin, boot heel cut I can't remember what it was for $34 the other day.
I'm glad beef isn't as big a part of our lives as it is for Pablo, Mr.18, Jetman, Alarmguy etc.
The beef budget alone would put us in the poor house lol.

NO! Cows are valuable assets. Steers be boys that are de-boyed. Eunuch meat is more tender and better marbled than cow meat.
Also economics. Every heifer can become a cow and continue to provide new bovines. You only need one bull and maybe a backup, so besides their meat, more than two is useless cost of feed.
