Another groundhog day breakfast. Sugar insulin biased Sunday morning breakfast. Restaurant had blackberries instead of blueberries, not sure how this impacts the sugars. It is reported blueberries are the best fruit for sugar insulin bias.
Sometimes I comment how off simple things are in areas of South East Asia.
At a very high end mall for dinner last night. I can't find most of the restaurants on the mall floor map. After doing numerous reconnaissance still can't locate the restaurants.
Went back to the mall map and discovered the disconnect. The map had not been updated since 2018, and almost all of the restaurants from 2018 have gone out of business. But mall map never updated.
My girlfriend and I just got back from dinner at another new (to us) place. This was a pub that brews their own beer and has a very well thought out menu. I had a great fried chicken sandwich and she had the brisket Mac and cheese with a beet salad
Penne with Broccoli Pesto: Rancho Milagro olive oil, garlic, pepperoncini, and an anchovy contributrd to the sauce of very finely minced broccoli. I used frozen, organic florets because I heard someone mention doing that for this dish, and I was curious to see the results. The broccoli was mashed up using my new masher, and it did a great job. I was impressed with how quickly it accomplished the task, which resulted in a very creamy and fairly smooth sauce, almost like having been done in a food processor. Overall, the dish turned out well.
After having a few slices of my half price Domino’s cheese pizza I ate a 6oz container of raspberries. They are on sale for $2.44 at Walmart here. Regular price for raspberries here is usually $5-6 so I only get them when they are $3 or less. If I could get them for a dollar I would eat them everyday!
