What are you eating right now?

View attachment 183556Pumpkin Spice pancakes 🥞 from IHOP. The only time you’ll catch me at IHOP lol. Love pumpkin spice stuff but especially pancakes. I’m really surprised my parents came here just by me mentioning it as they hate IHOP too and pumpkin spice lol. Will definitely need something after leaving too though as 4 pancakes don’t fill this boy up.
You know you could do research and find out what spices make up 'pumpkin spice' and put it on your egg rolls and fried rice. Thank me later.

12 lbs down will require a total 43,200 kcal deficit. I got 30 days.
That means I have to consume 1.440 kcal below baseline.
My normal daily caloric intake is around 2,800-3,000 kcal.

That means I need to cut my caloric intake into half. Half the food would do but a non-targeted caloric reduction without macros adjustments and timed eating is inefficient and easily leads to muscle loss

Regimen:
timed eating (12-hour feeding window)
macros adjustment (increase protein intake, lower carb intake combined with carb cycling
exercise (no change needed but I may increase cardio a little)

Starting today with a late lunch. Okonomiyaki or Japanese pancake, made with cabbage, onion, mushrooms, oat fiber, two eggs, cheese, ham, tomato, and spinach. A glass of low-sodium V8 with wheat germ, flax seed meal, and ground fenugreek seeds.

I love this stuff. The bottom is browned and crispy because of the cheese. I could have slid the cooked okonomiyaki under the broiler and browned the top but I was too lazy.

They used to call that "yo-yo" dieting and say it was "bad for you". In 2023 I cannot fathom that logic.

But, uuh - need to fit a bikini or something? WHY?
Yo-yo dieting is when you lose weight, gain it back unintentionally, and go on another diet, and so on. I only started doing what I do every year: Gain weight in the fall, and lose it in the spring. Had I known I won't be able to be over 200lbs in a few weeks I would not have gained the weight in the first place. It was fun, though, so I won't complain about the extra treats I have enjoyed. Why? I don't want to get stuck in the waterslide. I want to fit in my bikini. I won't fit inside the kayak. I am vain. So many reasons, really.

I'm now walking better and getting some confidence. Actually cooked something today that was easy, but still taxing.

Got a vacuum sealed bacon wrapped filet mignon out of the freezer. (dated 2018...LOL) Call that well aged meat here. ;)

Set oven broiler on high. Dried meat off, added salt and pepper and went to town.
Watched it carefully and it turned out great! Wonderful brown and crisp outside, perfect pink inside.
Did not even set the smoke detector off this time, but I'm sure it was close.

Two chicken breast and head of lettuce used as a wrap no plating no nothing just flat out wanting to eating

This afternoon I had a large carrot like the one shown below. I also had a smoothie made with nuts and egg white protein.

Fatboy dinner: Herring, natto, carrot, strained yogurt with golden berries (Peruvian groundcherries). There is still a salad coming.

chicken noodle with mashed potatoes and I brought home a treat for the beagle dog 🐕, "smart bones" from Atwoods in Andover. It's like liquid crack to her, but she leaves me alone to eat 😂😆.
