What are you eating right now?

A small calorie bomb containing a lot of good fat. PB2 mixed with wheat germ, sesame seeds, pistachios, walnut pieces, flax meal, and oat milk.

WARNING! Do not eat this unless you know you tolerate all ingredients. I wash my hands of your timely demise.

Potential allergens include:
PB2 (powdered peanuts)
sesame seeds
pistachios
walnuts
oat milk - the oat protein avenin is a potential allergen as is water (aquagenic urticaria)

Nightshades like tomatoes may have some anti-inflammatory effects for some, but there are also those who are allergic to nightshades.

My wife loves tomatoes, but they do not love her. She gets headaches and the Schlitz whenever she eats them; there are also other negative biological effects from the lectins they contain. YMMV
What I want to know is why your wife knowingly and repeatedly eats things that affect her negatively.

Barbecued Brisket Breakfast: My first alliterative breakfast this year. Yesterday a friend and I grabbed some 'cue and I took home some leftover brisket which turned into breakfast on a lightly toasted English muffin. I added some of my own homemade sauce.

I've only had the slop from store bought ground turkey.
I mean this, and it's new to me too...grind your own from whole. I don't even have a grinder attachment I just use the primary blade on my Kitchen Aid FP. You cube out the meat, sheet pan it in the freezer for 20 minutes before processing to elminate "gumminess" that's created from the heat of the processing. The colder the better especially for final texture.

What you're left with man is pure bliss. Beef is easier because is contains less moisture for the most part but the fact that you can control the final texture is pretty awesome.
That, and that you can infuse with aromatics into the blend before marinating without all the knife work. Just drop them in for the final few pulses.
Life changing for me...

Maybe she is trying to desensitize herself through regular and possibly incremental exposure. That can work but it can also backfire.
Nope, it’s not quite like allergic or histamine reactions where they generally get worse each time you’re exposed to the aggravant, but it also doesn’t get any better like when martial artists condition their hands and fist by repeatedly striking hard objects to build skin and bone callouses.

When I remind her of the definition of insanity, she says “if you want insanity, I’ll be happy to give it to you.” 🤣
