I'm grilling baby back ribs, A1 marinated strip steaks, and grilling some chicken wings

I'm helping out by making the very best Macaroni Salad in the world (old family recipe).
TEASER: Step 1+ 2, done the night before, is to boil up a pound box of #35 elbows al dente, mix up a mayo/vinegar/tomato marinade -yes, a marinade- and let it sit in the fridge overnight.
Today's ingredients include 1/2 lb. bacon, 4-5 hard boiled eggs, pimento, green bell pepper and a mayo/sour cream/mustard dressing.
A AAA+ recipe.

It's real food, not the moist, flavorless chalk sold in delis.

Had steaks on the grill, baked potatoes, grilled bell peppers and onions, asparagus last night for an early Father's Day Eve dinner. We have a newborn in the house so it's all hands on deck to get through the first few months.

My farm bride of 46 years is making me chicken wings with strawberry shortcake dessert. She has perfected (IMO) a coating and technique baking them in the oven. Yum.

Off topic:
- Friday I introduced my college student employee to fried chicken gizzards. The look on his face as he choked the rubbery morsel down was priceless.
- Besides doing my (late) spring full exterior detail today on our vehicle, we are working together to process our early summer haul, a workplace fringe:

Enjoy the day gentlemen.........and Pablo too.

Shrimps on the barbie! OK, not really but I've always wanted to say that. :) I hope to cook some hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill and let wifey whip up something sweet for desert. It's been a scorcher here in Ga. this week and today isn't going to be any cooler. We'll eat inside this afternoon and take an evening stroll once the sun sets behind the tall pines. We're all off tomorrow from work so it makes for a fantastic Father's Day.

We haven’t decided yet. Hopefully steaks. I got dad some new grilling tools for Father’s Day. It would be great to have some steaks so he can try out all his new stuff. I am having withdrawals from Chinese food but I’m not going to expect him to eat that on Father’s Day lol. If we don’t do steaks though I’ll be asking to get it.

Breakfast was thick cut apple smoked bacon egg & cheese on a bagel. Only 1 kid with a ⚾️ game today thst local (gift from God right there).

NY strips marinating in Worcestershire, salt, pepper, garlic for later.

Beer brined bone in and skin on chicken breasts and tri-tip roast on the pellet grill. Wife is making potato salad and daughter is cooking veggies. I don’t trust the meat cooking to others!
Happy Father’s Day however you do it!

We made steaks 🥩 and dad used his new grilling tools I got him. Had corn on the cob 🌽 and mashed potatoes 🥔 with it. We had beer too. Can’t go wrong with beer lol.

I bought a couple filet mignon steaks at the local grocery store to grill on kamado. They were certainly not well marbled and I had low hopes for them. I had filet mignon for dinner on Saturday night at a nice restaurant and wanted a baseline for mine. Unfortunately, the restaurant ones were not that good. I used this guy's recipe:

Followed the recipe almost exactly except I used canola oil and didn't use any herbs. I'm a tough critic of my own cooking and rarely give myself a high grade but not this time. The filets came out perfect. Very tender and flavorful and much better than what I got in a nice restaurant. Only downside is cleaning the skillet.
