WOW what a nice day. Yesterday, as well! Yesterday, I was in Newark NJ, then cut over to Kearny and went to North Arlington. Side story: Melted the coolant temp sensor on my truck, clean in half, so now it doesn't tell me engine temperature. Overheated because the lower hose came loose and let out all the coolant... when I was on the highway.

Still though, the overheat and stall out happened when I was in town. nice Kearny PD officer (I do not know his name) helped me push it over to the side, as it was uphill. I was on Kearny Ave. I noticed the lower hose off, released the radiator cap due to no pressure concern, refilled, turned her over, and drove away! It actually runs better since this happened, and the 5W-30 conventional with MMO, without other additives, held up extremely well. No blown gaskets, no seized engines. I would have known today, as I drove her again. She really does run better, so that steam cleaning and getting it good and hot (big props to the oil in there) did something to it good! Refilled water (not even all the way, due to thermal heat and hot head concerns so a minimal amount, maybe a half gallon,) sealed back up and drove off. To North Arlington. I let it cool there, went to the Autozone on Ridge Rd, then filled up with it running and heater on. Drove it around all day, and today. The position there was filled, but, hey, nice day out! Then I went back down Route 21 McCarter Highway back to Newark.

Today is more of the same! We hit 80 today. I was in South Orange a few days ago. That position was filled too, but hey, same weather. Went to NYC last weekend to Javits.. Mediocre show, but nicer weather.

I already know some of yall in Colorado have 21+ inches of snow. All I can say is: Thanks for being Colorado!

This Jersey Boy is in Hoboken now, and wow is it nice out. Drove to the parts store in East Orange today, for a hose since they were the only store that had it. I will be going back soon, depending on how nice the weather is. I took 280.

Pleased to make y'all introduction. And how is the weather by you?

Id love to be taking a drive down 21 or on the other side, along River Road. Spending the afternoon at Memorial Field in Rutherford would have been great.

Alas, Im at work. Still got out at lunch and it was spectacular! Being along the banks of the Delaware River is prettier than the banks of the Passaic River!

I'm about an hour from you so the weather is the same!

Glad to hear your truck didn't suffer any consequences. What model truck ?

280 is an interesting road to drive on about a few miles west of GSP 145. There's one super steep grade, that is awesome for giving the car a workout. (i.e. redline)

Delaware River.. Like, Delaware Water Gap, going towards Delaware and Maryland?

Coming at ya from Hoboken, and the Internet keeps cutting out.

I am close to Cake Boss right now, it's three blocks away. I'd snap pics if I could but my phone is out.

That is heading from East Orange to Morristown. I know it well.

2008: Had a 1986 Nissan Stanza, manual. Did not have anything above 3rd gear, IIRC. Went down that hill hitting about 100MPH with my foot on the clutch in that car..

Before 2008: Lost a GMC Jimmy with the 4.3 to that hill. Something happened where it quit running on the way, and I never made it to Morristown. It got towed, I went with tow driver, and I never saw it again.

They got a pretty good speed trap on that hill, too. West Orange, IIRC.

I love that hill.

Here in Arvada, CO, we got next to nothing that actually stuck to the roads.
Definitely not 21+ inches. It will all be gone by tomorrow, anyway, as snow doesn't last very long here in Colorado. We REALLY need the water in the reservoirs, though, but that's not where the bulk of the storm hit, unfortunately.

Oh, and I'm sending that winter storm right on over to you, so expect it in a day or three.

BC.

Spent lots of time in the water gap going out towards PA. Nope, Im talking Delaware River like NJ/PA border by Philly.

Still nicer than the Passaic River, at least south of Patterson/Passaic area...

I hope you don't mean by Trenton and Camden/Mercer counties!

In any case, was in Hoboken this morning. Leaving to go to North Brunswick. I am scheduled to be a greeter at the BJ's Grand Opening, by Regal Cinemas on Rt 1. So, if anyone is going to BJs Grand Opening today.. Not sure how many greeters there will be, heh, so just enjoy the store, I'll be there, but any NJ BITOGers will blend in, with the general populace.

I will let everyone know if BJs carries oil, lol. Will be there all day. Have a great one!
