What 2 cycle oil for string trimmer?

I used to exclusively use the Mobil 1 MX2T but after my most recent bottom end inspection of my leaf blower I stopped. My crankshaft halves (porkchops) were completely covered in rust. Obviously the MX2T wasn't leaving ANY residual lubricant on the metal to protect it in the off-time.

I am currently using Castrol PowerRS TTS 2-cycle that I bought at my local cycle shop. I also bought a liter of Motorex (Swiss product) Speedmix 2T semi-synthetic oil. Both of these products are less costly than the pint bottles of Echo or other equipment mfgr's branded lubes sold at the big box stores.

After this season I'll check my blower again and see how things look inside. That MX2T has not left a bit of deposit in my engines since being used exclusively for the past two years even mixed at 32:1. I don't think the products I'm trying will be as clean.

I've been using Stihl's conventional 2 stroke oil in the little bottles....I like the convenience of mixing up a gallon of mix without fuss......all my equipment seems to like it just fine.

If you're talking about the Stihl product in the orange bottle it is a good 2-cycle oil. The Stihl product in the white bottle is better though over the long haul.
