Is it just me or is it much harder to see what you're doing when wet sanding white paint. Trying to remove orange peel from a hood and find it difficult to see the progress. Doesn't matter if in bright sun or shade.

No but it turned out fine. Used 1500 paper and two passes of compound. The horizontal quarter panel was much easier to see. Maybe the angle of light or something.

Back in the 70's when I used to paint cars for a living, I found white paint more difficult to lay down than any other color. I usually had to adjust the lights since it was difficult to see the gloss when looking straight on.
