Same goes for any democracy right? Always will be complainers, yet its the majority that rule over the complainers.

Wife worked for the gas company for 17 years, I showed her the photo of the meter and she said that's not to code. The pipe is going to corrode where it's in contact with the cement. Should have been sleeved or boxed. Your gas company could make you correct it.

Good point, that concrete around the pipe did not look right to me and I was wondering why or how the pipe might be affected. I also wondered about the pressure of expanding and contracting concrete do to temperature extremes affect on the pipe. I am sure not significant but this is a GAS line *LOL* The corrosion statement makes a boatload of sense. Smart lady you married there!

Thinking further into this, the massive amount of homes they are building here are on slabs and ANYTHING that goes through the slab, water, sewer, any type of utility lines... has a sleeve

If they are doing that, it's 100% by choice.

If they can afford a 7 figure home they have the capability of understanding they are buying into an HOA and they even sign paperwork acknowledging it.

I also don't think all HOA are created equal. And it would take a few months of living in one to find out what kind of an HOA it really was.

I am the president of the HOA. Most years lucky to get the minimum 3 people on the board. This year we have 5.

Our biggest issue: how to pay for paving a mile of asphalt in 8 to 10 years. And it will take more than bake sales.

Over the past 2 days I have not walked around the circle looking for violations. But I have taken the cover off the gate operator and found missing teeth on main gear. Called gate company. Sent pictures to the gate company of the damaged gear and the model number tag off the gate operator. Having to explain to people why gate gets stuck open.

Our HOA is a joke. They send notices to everyone, literally everyone, saying power wash your house. Every year.....whether you did it or not. It is very obvious they just check the box.
