Well, it's finally all gone...

Well, I finally used the rest of my pre-BITOG oil.
I had gotten 3 cases of Valvoline All-Climate 10w30 for $0.69/qt from Pep-boys back in 2002. I have had 4 qts sitting around for the past 2 yrs that I just seemed to never use. Well, I needed some oil for my rinse phase of Auto RX in my wife's van, so I used it (only had 4 qts, so I used 1.5 qts of Mobil 5000 to finish the fill).

Now I can start using my "new" oil.

Probably gonna do a mix of the DuraBlend (3 qts)with MaxLife (2.5 qts) which I think will be a great mix for a 6 month OCI (less than 5000 miles). This means I have enough oil for about 4 years on hand for the van.

I know the feeling... I"m still on my valvoline Batch i bought at Pep boys in 2004.

Origin, look in the rebates section. They have had several free deals over the past few years, from free MaxLife, DuraBlend, and even the Synpower (I just missed that one). They have a Free MaxLife going again right now.

Schmoe, I don't really remember the time, I just know that is when I got it, and I lurked here for about 6 months before I joined.

Perish the thought! Pre-Bitog, I used to take my wife's Expedition & my GTI to Wal-Mart for oil changes.........& they both always came out of the service bay with some strange bright orange cans mounted where the oil filter is supposed to go.

Yea, but how much will it cost?
And if Valvoline keeps giving away oil, who knows, I may never run out.

I just got my stash of 50 quarts of GC built up. It will take me forever to get through that...
