That's exactly the horrific vision of the future many scifi writers have had. Forcing people to suffer with incapable and awful looking vehicles that might be found in authoritarian planets throughout the galaxy.

honestly, if they were available here, I'd buy one. it's only about $6k new.

Theoretically if a European e-car weighs under 3000lbs you should be able to import it as an nev , would just need a governor installed.

The 2CV can easily go thousands of miles. The AMI 47mi, then another 37 miles after 3 hours of charging. It's a joke.
