Had an 07 mustang towed in. Had some front end damage which destroyed the Radiator. I fixed the car and when he came to pick it up I asked him what he hit.

He said that he jumped the car on purpose to see what it was like! He was being serious!

The guy probly in his 50's found a place to jump his mustang! He then said that while in the air he could see where he was going to land and he could not do anything about it! He said he slammed on the brakes and turned but still hit whatever he hit.

Didn't most of us figure out that you can't steer or stop if your wheels are in the air around 2nd grade on our bicycles?

Then before he paid his bill he opened the hood and critiqued my job! He almost destroyed his car on purpose and now he's worried about which way the hose clamps are facing!

Dude was strange!

Since he didn't like the way the hose clamps are facing, probably not coming back.

Unless he jumps it again, and a hose pops off on landing, Then he'll claim if the clamps faced the other way they would of stayed on.

Wish you could post the VIN on some "do not buy" list.

After going through the air, it just had front end damage? No frame tweaking, suspension damage? etc.

For some reason he did not want to tell you the truth,

So he gave you a line.

I jumped a car once.... ONCE....
coming up to a country intersection in my 87 olds 98(FWD C-body)
the cross road is a little higher than the one i was on. Coming to the intersection a little too hot, oncoming to my left, only chance of clearing them was to "put that hammer down" as it were, and make the jump. (did i mention i was 19, with a group of like aged kids in the car) no real damage... rear air struts were already blown... sure it bottomed out a little....

Nice!
I've never jumped anything but was in a car for a jump once. A buddy of mine was test driving a used car (G-body Monte Carlo) he was thinking about buying on a one-lane dirt road and got a few feet of air, bounced the right front tire off a tree, landed well enough to stay on the road and the car still tracked straight afterwards. He decided to buy it.

Greetings fellow redditor

I love JRITS!

I've jumped plenty of cars. They just don't make 'em like they used to....

Probably should have kept this guy happy. Could be a good repeat customer!

Girl in my high school class had her daddy buy her a car. She hit some ice and cracked into a telegraph pole.

"I had my foot on the brake pedal, I used the handbrake, I put it in Park, it still didn't stop."

Life. Not fair.

i friend raced a mud truck at one time. his truck was all dents and bangs. he told me "you dont know how fast you can go till go faster than the fastest you can."
