I just crested 10 million points
I'm reverting to windows 7 for the time being, so I should be able to get back up soon.
Signed up today and joined the team. Don't know how much the old P4 2.8 will be able to do but it's just setting there since we got a new dvr and it's only duty now is the print server.
About 80,000 points/month or so. Rough guess from the output of my P4 3.2 machine.

Hey, I have a server that was sitting under my bed because I didnt have any use for it until Nick suggested we start a WCG Team. I know for a fact it idles at about 150W. Now its chomping with two dual-core processors on top of that. They are 40W processors, but still...
150W baseline, two 40W processors, hard drive, higher memory and northbridge load, plus inefficiency in power conversion...
Its probably right around 300W.

That it is.. that old P4 is putting out some amazing heat. The Intel Core 2 Quad at work doesn't seem to putting out much heat though. Going to test my laptop also at work just to see how hot it gets tonight.

Our team total points at last update was 25,689,493 and it is now 33,434,498 resulting in a average PPD of 553,215.
The current number 1000 team (by points) is currently sitting at 37,182,506 points. To get into the top 1000 it will take approximately 10-14 days, by my estimates; faster if more people were to join.
What I want to see is BITOG in top 1000 teams by the Dec 31st statistics update. I believe it is within reach. That wouldnt be bad for a bit over two months worth of work, I dont think.
Our team total points at last update was 25,689,493 and it is now 33,434,498 resulting in a average PPD of 553,215.

I have 4 more processors I could contribute still working on those. I'm pleased with my 9 days! My stats will be higher the next 9 will be higher since I added a few over the week. Going on vacation next week and I'll let my 3 possibly 4 stations and my 3 stations (18 processors total) at home run continuous for almost 16 days. Interesting is that they all seem to run a little better.. I guess italian tuneups are good for pc's also!
Putting win7 back on this week so should be able to get back in
