I installed a low flow toilet recently and while it works fine, it has a tendency to leave poo bits stuck to the bowl. Seems to be the "nature of the beast" with these toilets due to the lack of a traditional swirling action when flushing.

Was wondering if waxing the inside of the bowl would help with the sticking problem. Any of you guys tried this?

It sounds like the porcelain finish is not that good. Is this a name brand fixture?

As far as waxing goes, I doubt it would help. A toilet brush is the tool for this.

Lysol used to make a TB cleaner that claimed it had Teflon in it. I recall it worked reasonably well even though the durability of the stuff wasn't impressive. Over time invisible deposits build up on the porcelain that cause some of the sticking. I'll occasionally put on a pair of nitrile gloves and scrub the inside of the bowl with Softscrub.

That hasn't been a problem with our Toto low flow toilet. They appear to have a built-in swirling action. [Speaking of which, I wonder if they use the reverse direction for those sold south of the equator.]

I don’t want to sound like I’m picking on you here but I’m wondering if this could become a welcome to BITOG sticky or something. Most of us are here because we tend to overthink certain things and come up with pretty creative solutions. Sorry I’m just trying to find some humor in your seemingly sticky situation

Some Toto toilets also use a proprietary coating that is slicker and antimicrobial as well. If your toilet came with instructions to not use abrasive cleaners then you may have this. The newer models do have a nice swirling flush that covers the entire bowl surface. The outlets are positioned up in the bowl and look like nozzles instead of the ring of holes that is typical here.

Micro plastic in the ocean?

Do you have hard water? I do and noticed that when I installed a water softener it helped immensely with that issue.
