Tried 6 different wax-as-u-drys. Plan on writing up a comparative review soon. One was disappointing, the others equaled each other and only two stood out. Well actually one. The Turtle Wax Wax-as-u-dry and the other is a spray wax, Meguiars Ultimate Wax.
Both work well on paint, glass and aluminum rims. Both left a super slick surface and both work as great cleaner, especially on glass! They both were the easiest product I found to clean glass. The other products didn't do so well on glass, (dried blotchy) but I didn't knock them since they're not designed primarily for glass.
Turtle Wax can last a week if your car is already waxed. Megs a lasts a bit longer and is even slicker. That was worse case scenario when used on my clear-coated wheels. Many non chrome/aluminum car wheels are clear-coated.
I plan on just primarily using Turtle Wax since they give you so much for cheap. I usually see it for $4 for 26 oz! Meguairs is often $8-$10 for <16 oz. At that price, I can be liberal rather than be stingy. I do plan on keeping a bottle of Megs around though. It's a great product, but I hear of many good things of ICE as well. Again, that is a spray wax and not wax-as-u-dry.
