Had my water pump replaced on my Ram about 3 months ago. Bought a brand new OEM water pump & inlet tube. Noticed yesterday when I was checking my oil & refilling my window washer fluid that my radiator reserve tank was low? Started my truck and seen antifreeze just minutely coming out the bottom of the inlet tube? My garage did the water pump work. Whats the deal with it leaking im wondering? I added more antifreeze alittle above the full mark until I can get feedback from my garage. Am I gonna have to buy another inlet tube already?

I wonder if the mech inserted the o-ring/tube dry, nicking the o-ring? I've always lubed with Sil-Glide or another silicone lube and never had leaks...

Better also check the water pump itself. I had one that was machined very badly in the bore where the tube goes. It ripped the O-ring and caused a bad leak. I ranted about that problem here:

Chris142 is right on about smearing RTV on the tube before you insert it in the pump. I did that on mine and it has never leaked a drop, and it has been almost 3 years now since I R&R'd my water pump.
