Bought some oil today and I thought the prices were not too shabby. Got a 5qt Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5w30 for $20, 5qt Delo 5w40 synthetic for $19...and they had a clearance of single qts of Pennzoil Ultimate 5w30 for $5 each...I may go back for more on that one, what the price in your neck of the woods ?

Pretty close to your prices here. I still try to buy oil for under a buck a quart or less through rebates. The only problem is the van in my signature is really using a lot of oil unless I use Maxlife. Even the Defy that is in there now has leaked well over a quart in 1,500 miles.

Pennzoil Ultra was $7.xx/qt at Walmart, clearance price mostly $5/qt but some local Walmart stores had it at $2.50/qt, regular price at Pep Boys is $9.xx/qt. If you can find 5-qt jug PU at $21 then it is better buy.

My Wally used to have all its sythetics priced at $24.97 but Ultra at $27.97 and Quaker State Ultimate Durability at $20.97. Yesterday I went in and PP was $22.97. I was leaning toward running Quaker State Ultimate Durability in the new to me vehicle but for two bucks more I'm leaning toward the PP now.

I was also able to find Pennzoil Ultra 5w20 for $5 a quart on clearance here in Ohio. Combined with their mail-in rebate, I will be paying $15 for 5 quarts of PU. Not bad!

I've nearly completed my "stalking" of all the Wal Marts up here (5 of them) and bought up all of the Pennzoil Ultra 5W30 I could find (jugs and quarts). I've avoided the 5W20 but picked up a jug of 10W30...figure it'll be alright in the van this summer. There are remaining jugs and quarts of 10W30 and 5W20 at one of the locations...might pick up some more 10W30. My stash of Pennzoil Ultra now equals about 2 1/2 years worth of changes for my vehicles.
