Walmart oil a cheaper version?

many uoa made with walmart filled oil and wm purchased filters. results tell whether to change oil sooner or go longer, or try a different oil. they have nothing to do with walmart. id trust the testing labs.

That got me to start thinking about how cheap Penzoil Platinum is at Walmart. I have never seen anything other retailer come close to their $23/5 quart price. It makes me wonder if a "watered down" version of the oil.
Man...I just got 400rds of that stuff for my 9mm...you have bolstered my confidence my friend. But the stuff i have does say Made in USA on the box.

No, it is not. Shell only makes one grade of Platinum, or YB, or Rotella T, etc. The majors do not make a special version for Wal-Mart. The only thing special they do for Wal-Mart is make the 5-quart bottles.

As for the Mobil-1 silver-cap, I have heard before that the "consumer-grade" Mobil-1 is different than the factory-fill Mobil-1 GM uses to fill Corvettes &maybe even the service oil used at GM dealerships too. I have heard that the factory Mobil-1 is PAO and was required to be by GM as part of their selection process. It would not surprise me a bit if companies were willing to cheapen up their formulas for Wal-Mart.

Not oil related but I'm on medication for high blood pressure.. at 23, horrible I know. But the medicine from [censored]-Hole gives me odd side effects as to CVS, Walgreens or Eckerd. I guess for $4 a bottle of pills you get some nice side effects too!

I'm no Wal-Mart fan, but I highly doubt that Winchester is making a sub-standard ammo for Wal-Mart and still selling it packaged just like their regular stuff.
The liability involved in making defective ammunition is way too high for any sentient being to play that game.

I was originally on the 80mg dosage, and following all the "rules" (no caffeine, no sodium, etc.) My next appointment at the doc's a month later, yea I was doing better, but I told him:
"Sorry doc, I just can't do it anymore. I need my coffee like it was meant to be drank, with caffeine. Either you take it into consideration or I end up on the floor, I don't care but I'm having a real cup of coffee from now on!!!"
No really, my withdrawal symptoms after a month of no caffeine, when I had been such a heavy caffeine user all my life, were just nuts. It really was one of those 'sorry I know it's bad for me but I'm gonna keep doing what I used to do' moments.
He upped my dosage to 160mg without even thinking about it.

wal marts suppliers may cut back on Quality control to meet wal marts price dictates, so the vendor may be trying to give you a "good" product but skimping on QC inspections so the junk they make gets shipped too.

I find myself going to WM at least once a week to check out the oil prices and the latest sales on oil. I think oil specials are frequently used to draw men into the store. Notice how the oil is at the very back corner of the store. You walk in to check out the oil and walk out with castrol GTX at $8.88 for 4 litres or a jug of PP for $20 with a smile on your face and $50 worth of other goods or a snowblower or TV or BBQ.
For this reason, to draw men and their wallets into the store, I think we are getting very good deals on authentic brand name oils.
BTW I am kicking myself for not buying some GTX at $8.88 canadian in January!

Get your butt down to the health food store. 23 is WAAAYY to young to have high blood pressure. Cayenne Pepper (heat rating 100,000), White Willow Bark (they make aspirin from it but add all kinds of garbage), CQ10 (the best thing you can do for your heart), Turmeric (cuts down on inflammation), Kyolic Garlic, Hawthorne Berries (used to treat and prevent congestive heart failure in other countries) and 6000 milligrams of vitamin C a day whether you get it from oranges or elsewhere. Welches Grape juice does WONDERS for cirulation and your heart and so does Pomogranit Juice. Drink 12 ozs a day and don't forget the Fish Oil!
Nope, I'm no doctor but vitamins and herbs are one of my hobbies. I've been taking all of the above and MORE for years. It's worth a try. Research it. I really hate to see someone your age taking perscription poison. The only way they'll EVER get any of that stuff down my gullet is if I'm going to die or I'm in excruciating pain.
Just my two cents. BTW, herbs take a while to work (sometimes about 6 months). I buy a lot of mine at Wal-Mart because they are cheaper there. I don't know if the quality is lesser but it could be.

I agree with most of your recommendations - vitamin C at 6 grams per day might be a bit extreme.
