Walmart near me replacing M1 with K&N

I just got back from Walmart.

The M1 filter section was full. Typical price was $9.97.

Fram Ultras for $9.42.

Fram Tough Guards for $6.82.

Fram Extra Guards for $3.88.

Super Techs for $2.97.

K&N HP series large can $12.48.

Nothing appears to be discontinued.

My Walmart has all those above, plus added AC Delco and Hyundai oil filters.

K&N has been making a renewed push with their oil filters. They where all made in the USA by Champion but then Champion was bought by Fram and stopped manufacturing for K&N. K&N then out sources filter production to Korea (Korean filters had the base wrapped in plastic and they gave you an oil change sticker) and Mexico. There was a huge uproar about the filters not being made in the USA anymore. Recently - I believe with the newer Walmart contract - they have resourced the filter manufacturing back to the USA. The last set of K&N filters I purchased from Amazon have all be made in the USA.
