I've got a recently purchased 5 quart jug to return/exchange, but no receipt. Think this will be an issue?

It shouldn't be although our Walmart's have started asking for receipts now because so many people were returning items that weren't purchased at Walmart because of their great return policies...

Heck it's Wal Mart. What's the point in a refund if you shop there anyway? Just pick up something you'll eventually need like shampoo, toothpaste, groceries, socks, etc.

LOL

I know but there was people that would purchase stuff, sit on it for a while then decide they didn't want it and take it back to Walmart for whatever price it would scan for... Then the company would stock it and sell it for no profit because it never came from there... I guess this happened too much and they got tired of it.

Mine won't even do that unless you have the bill now because of what I mentioned above... I know it's not everywhere because I returned stuff I bought a year ago with no bill to one far from my house and they took it back last week. But the one by my house will not... Their policy on the wall has changed at that one too.

No receipt, no problem! You'll get store credit. If they deny the claim, just politely ask for the store manager and you'll be taken care of.

Oh I know how customer service works... I work in the Food Service industry as a District manager so I'm usually the one that does the giving, and I can certainly tell you that the squeeky wheel gets the grease... But I'm just saying that Walmart is changing the policies at certain Walmarts that are having problems with people doing what I mentioned above... Doesn't mean you can't complain and get your way...

When I lived in the dormatories in college I used to know a guy who would buy a stick of deodorant and a television at walmart. Then, he would take the stick of deodorant back through the door with the reciept and get the little pink sticker. Then, he'd walk back to the back, take the pink sticker, stick it on an identical TV, put the deodorant on the shelf and walk up to the front of the store with the TV and get the money back. This could be done with almost everything.

That's why they now ask for ID for returns in excess of a certain dollar value.

I was standing at the service desk waiting my turn when a bro in front me was returning some green grapes. The girl asked him for his receipt and why he waited 3 days to bring them back and say they were spoiled. He said they were like that when he bought them and gave here the "how dare you question me" attitude. I thought he was going to become hostile and his voice got loud. She refunded him his $1 and change saying that next time he should call right away of this happens, the grapes looked like he left them in his car for 3 days (was in the summer). So when I came to my turn I said to the clerk, "that was unbelievable". She said, that's nothing, you would be shocked at what some people try to get away with.

People are always trying to con them..

I had to deal w/ hostile weekend warrior homeowners one summer @ HD. dude would buy a trimmer or whatever (his 1st gas operated tool), run it the 1st day, put it away, and couldn't get it started the next weekend. then they return it, "it won't start, I want my money back". one guy said "look, I got blisters from pulling the cord!"
of course, we take it outside and get it started right away. idiots don't understand 2 stroke engines.
they still want their money back.
other ones would bash a stump w/ the new lawnmover, bending the shaft and stalling it. "it just stopped running, I want my money back".
manager would ALWAYS cave in, making us look stupid.

They've given me store credit when I return things w/o a receipt no problem. They just won't give you cash.
