I still travel enough to get some feel of what is going on. The NE, parts of the Mid West and some parts of the Northwest are doing quite well super premium wise.In fact there is a speed shop here in NY area that cannot keep some wt. of Redline in stock. Every area has

another slant on sales. Walmart was going to put in a dental dept. in some of their stores with a express line for 6 teeth or less.

It's sad that people will spend $60 per week on cigarettes or $40 per weekend on beer yet they are too cheap to pay $25 for a quality motor oil every six months(Pennzoil Ultra).

To most drivers in North America, SYNTHETIC MOBIL 1 and they don't see any reason to pay more than M1 for an unknown quality, that is reality.

To dethrone M1 as king of synthetic oil market, other companies must do better jobs in marketing.
