Hello!
I want to buy VW 502.00 approved oil for Volkswagen Golf 5 1.4 16v (BCA) engine.
I am currently using a Mobil Super 3000 XE 5W30 oil, however I don't know if it meets VW 502.00 approval.

On Autodoc and some web shops they give 502.00/505.00/505.01 approval.

The oil manufacturer's page only lists VW 505.00/505.01.

Maybe the VW 505.01 approval includes VW 502.00?

Thanks, and sorry for my bad english.

Normally they all go together. But sounds like Mobil didn’t bother with 502.00 certification and stuck to the other diesel (VE and PD) certs instead

.
You seem to be based in Hungary, in other words in Europe,
meaning ultra-kow sulphur fuel. My recommendation is using
VW 504 00 and M1 ESP 5W-30.
See my sig which tell you which oils are currently approved
to either VW 502 00, 504 00 or 511 00 etc..

ps
VW 505 00 and VW 505 01 are oldish Diesel approvals. They
are both replaced by VW 507 00.

It's a nothing special 75 PS engine, i'd just use the cheapest 502.00 oil, since it's on a fixed interval anyway.

So, it's not a TSI engine, back when the "T" in TSI meant "Twin" (turbo & supercharged).

Yes, I live in Hungary.
So VW 504 will replace VW 502?
Won't VW 504 be worse because it is longlife?
