You picked 1 month, October. You know Tesla builds and delivers cars in batches, depending on geographic destination.
VW is largest automaker in the world neck and neck with Toyota. Just never could figure out the US market.Nobody takes VW seriously.
I personally don't know anybody that would buy one.
Yup, no matter the topic. Sides are entrenched.I think I have the answer... The car company I like wins! Al the other ones are POS losers!
What this does show is that Volkswagens MEB platform (ID3+ID4+Skoda Enyaq+Audi Q4) sold roughly 19,000 units sold In one month.
...and Hyundai+KIA sold 11,746 which includes two brand new entries, IONIQ-5 and EV6.What this does show is that Volkswagens MEB platform (ID3+ID4+Skoda Enyaq+Audi Q4) sold roughly 19,000 units sold In one month.

From a little further down in that article which is missing data on the X,Y, and S
Which vehicle on the chart is the model 3's segment?
I'll rephrase - where does the European auto industry segment it ?https://insideevs.com/news/551755/europe-plugin-car-sales-october2021/
In my opinion none of these vehicles is in the Model3’s segment. I rode in a Model 3 once. I felt it had an interior more suited for public transportation. Certainly nowhere near what a Volkswagen ID4 has, let alone an Audi Q4 which is only 10% more expensive than the Id4. The Tesla didn’t even have a rear seat grab handle. Tesla may have a range advantage, but in Europe that advantage probably dwindles to nearly nothing. Germany is what 500 miles from North to south, with probably 2000 places to charge between the two borders?
I've seen the SK battery plant.VW ID.4 reservations at 40k+
Cliffs notes.
- ID.4 has become one of VWoA hottest models.
- Production constraints (waitlist) should be eased once Chattanooga, TN starts building. TN models batteries to be sourced from new SK battery plant in Commerce, GA.
- VW dealerships receiving large subsidies from VWoA for training, development and infrastructure to support EV's (charging stations, etc.).
Seems VW is all in on the EV game and getting ahead of the curve of the mainstream automakers. Have not followed Nissan too closely but looking from the outside it seemed like the Leaf was/is more of a pet project without much support to the dealerships from the mothership.
Stop being acting the Shortbus SamWhats the number one, and number 2 selling EV in Europe?
Stop being acting the Shortbus Sam
You know EXACTLY what you're doing. Stop BS'ing. Why not just answer this question in a straightforward manner vs resorting to trying to insult me?
I think its because so many said for so many years the answer (at least for now) was " impossible".
The answer also brackets the two competitor in the same segment - EV's which is clearly a segment.
IF you add up every electric sold in europe VW probably has the lead but it does not have the number one selling electric car - its not even close.
So we go back and forth discussing to HQ sales vs segment sales. Like we always have.
Another question is how much money each manufacturer makes on the cars.
If BEV are subsidized by ICE sales they'd better get that squared away immediately, because were going to see it on the balance/ P&L sheet soon.
