I was only linking amazon because the mobil 1 site takes 60s to load for me... so I used the amazon product link.

What is their motivation for the free oil thing? I never understand this, and same with carquest brake pads and rotors, my neighbor has been swapping those out for years and haven't paid anything since.

So i can buy spec vw oil and keep returning it as much as possible for many free oil and filter changes?? as many times as i want??

Meanwhile I just had ours changed at 10,188 because of dealer scheduling issues instead of like 9,500. Didn't use any, the level stayed pretty consistent actually, I checked it fairly religiously over the summer when it started to creep past 5k miles. I did send a UOA off but it isn't back yet.
