VW 0W-20 508 Spec oil

Question for you guys
My son owns a 2021 VW that requires 0W-20 508Spec oil. His first two oil changes were free from the dealer but it’s time for the third oil change. Looking for oils that meet the VW 508 spec
Any ideas ??? Thanks

Dealership or FCP Euro. I doubt that you will find any at the local parts stores or Walmart.

I have no clue about VW stuff. I would guess it’s all about the warranty peace of mind for him

There is a search function in the upper right corner of the screen. Type in VW 508.00 and you will get your answer. There have been plenty posted on the subject.

In addition to Mobil ESP X2 which has been mentioned already, the other I find to be available locally is Castrol Edge LL IV.

Dealer oil is not that expensive.

Dealer oil is not that expensive.

NAPA usually carries the Liqui Moly however, their pricing is pretty high. It’s best to order a change kit from FCP Euro.

It's a 20 grade with a VW approval. All the European makes are moving to 20 grades and/or thinner and they all have their own approval.

Yeah, I don’t need vw engineers telling me an oil is approved same as the dexos cert.
