VOA for Triax STOU 10w-30. Marketed as an all purpose GL-4 trans-hydraulic, hydraulic and CF-4 engine lubricant. Claims to meet a number of specifications for equipment requiring a higher viscosity than would be found in the majority of universal tractor fluids.

Thanks for testing this Triax branded oil. Also, (*10W-30 CI-4 Diesel Engine Oil)

In typical Triax fashion, the product description, specifications and properties vary significantly from one place to the next.

On their product page, they list it as an API CI-4 with a TBN of 15.

On their PDS, they list it as an API CF-4 with a TBN of 10.

The VOA looks fairly standard but as far as I can tell they don’t even seem to know what it is. Factory reject Sinopec wouldn’t surprise me.

Yeah, their blender supplier was sued for the mismatch but that also affected other companies that re-label that blenders oil too like Oreilly's Auto. I still use the Triax gear lube in my F-350 & have no problem running it. Online sites & PDF's are not always in agreement from other sites too unfortunately. They are supposed to be warrantied for what they claim. Good old VOA like you posted here is great to get the real scoop! ;)

How is that?? Oil analysis doesn’t show what certifications or approval an oil carries. Triax has already proven their PDSs aren’t even worth the webpage they’re printed on. Using OAs to justify using Triax is one of the most ludicrous things I’ve seen here.

Agreed. I can’t imagine picking an oil from a known obfuscator based on a $35 spectrographic analysis.
