VOA: Swepco 306 15w40

Thank you for the voa sir. That's a pretty high calcium value and anti wear additive values are pretty solid.
I'm a bit puzzled by this oil. Looking at the website pds it shows 13.48 kv 100 which makes it the thinnest 15w-40 I've seen and this is even lower still. Given that a quart cost 14+ bucks without shipping included I think I'd rather buy anything else. Hpl's standard tier ck 4 hdeo is cheaper and very likely to still be better.

I am aware. I've used this oil for a few years and noted reduced oil consumption, excellent cold starts and smoother engine operation. I've also encountered incidences where it reduced or completely eliminated lifter noise in engines that other oils wouldn't help. Of course that is anecdotal, but I'm happy with it. I'm not trying to persuade anyone to buy it. I just thought I'd share the VOA results.
Yes, I know you're not trying to influence a purchase just merely sharing it here. Never heard of this company before. If you're happy with the product & service that's all that matters.

I may contact Swepco regarding the viscosity. I've had excellent service with the oil and will continue using it, but that is an interesting observation.

I looked up the viscosity range at 100c for 15w40 engine oils, and you guys are correct...at 12.7, this oil is at the low end of the range, minimum being 12.5. below are two other VOA results I have from 2022. One was analyzed by Blackstone, the other by Oil Analyzers. Lake Speed Jr said as long as there's enough of a sample available, he'd gladly retest the KV100. I'll let you know the results if there are any.
Side note, SD is super responsive and incredibly fast. I mailed my sample on October 24th, and had results on October 31st. I wasn't expecting results for weeks, maybe even months. That's why I didn't post the VOA sooner, I didn't check my email until the morning of November 3rd.
