Are you referring to Hy-Per Lube corps products, Hyperlube, or Hyper Lube?

Please spell the product or company correctly and give us some background info; our crystal balls only let us gaze so far.

They still make Hyperlube Oil Supplement.

The stuff pour out like STP Oil Treatment and is supposed too make any oil better.

This stuff was around in the 1980's.

People at car auctions use this stuff and Hi-tach and Lucas to temporarily stop oil smoking out the exhaust and quiet a noisy engine to get the car sold. Works wonders in this application.

I have never found one on this site. I think it would be interesting if someone did a VOA on their Zinc Replacement Additive. To see what is in that, since they say it is a replacement for Zinc.

We used hyperlube in our patrol cars back in the 70's. Was fine for summer time but in the winter it hindered starting of the vehicle as we were using 20w-40 oil too. It did save some motors though during high speed runs when the temp would peg out on the engine.

I am just curious, what was the fastest speed you had those patrol cars up to back in the 1970's.

My 69 dodge and 71 plymouth would both clear the speedo at 140. We didn't have decent radars back then to see if the car was going faster, but did time some of them thru measured markers and were able to come up with 150 to 160 mph on some of the cars. They were the 440 magnums with holly 4 barrel double pumper carbs. They were darn fast and handled corners very well. I had two very tight curves with max super on them on one of our state highways that I could take at 120 mph on dry pavement. Ah, the good ole days. Incidently, I only had one vehicle in twenty-nine years that ever out ran me and that was a corvette that had a mile jump on me.

Awesome, now how would the Crown-Vic's today with the 4.6 Liter Engines compare. Your story has me thinking about that movie with Steve McQueen, I think it was called Bullit, where he was driving a Mustang and chasing a Dodge Charger.

i've used hy-per lube in a few vehicles in the past.seemed to help a late 80's ford v-6 with some minor problems.good stuff.
