I guess they liked something Castrol was doing (hint: Ti). Also, that sure is a lot of Silicon…both new and old versions.

Assuming these are both the “basic” PCMO, and given how “mixing oils” is considered gauche, can you mix this with 1 yr old PCMO without being criticized? Could result in some head-scratching over the resulting UOA.
 
I’d think it was more a fat-finger or transposition error rather than measurement error… does the data auto-populate from their machine or do they have to type all that stuff into the form?

That is a possibility, but many times, it's auto-populated. It depends on that lab's procedure.

The ICP looks at elements on a spectrum, the cutoff between them sometimes getting blurred, meaning you can have cross interference if not properly calibrated or the sample is scanned too quickly. That barium could be calcium or another additive element subject to interference. I would still request they rescan the sample due to abnormal results.
