Not a lot to see here, the reason I cut this open was to see if it contained SCAs which it does not. These come in the filter kits we buy from the dealership however none of our trucks use coolant filters so these just pile up. About a year ago I experimented with installing an inline fuel filter to use as a coolant filter on my car as the cooling system was fairly neglected and with an iron block and head there was a lot of rust and sediment floating around. I ran those filters three times and results were exceptional so I started looking into running a proper coolant filter setup and rather than let these go to waste I convinced the boss to let me pinch a few to use myself.
